Teworh Rockstar Academy is a leading institution dedicated to developing purpose-driven, innovative leaders through a unique blend of sports, entrepreneurship, and social education.

When did you realize you wanted to be a social entrepreneur? How did you define your purpose?
It all began on my father's farm in Regasa, Kaduna State. I gave the soccer ball I had received as a gift to the farmhands. After their hard work, they played football every evening, and the joy it brought them became my motivation and inspired me to use sports to motivate young people and impact communities.
Inspired by the transformative power of sports on individuals and communities, I founded the Teworh Children and Youth Foundation. The ambition is to advocate for out-of-school children (Almajirai) in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. We also founded Teworh Rockstar Academy, where our purpose is to nurture a new generation of purpose-driven and sports-focused entrepreneurs and leaders who use sports as a tool for social change.
Describe your journey: Smooth sailing or a roller coaster ride?
In the early stages, I underestimated the impact [of the academy], yet consistently led teams, despite my stature. My passion for football and leadership defined me, prompting me to organize a summer football camp for young black players in Dagenham Park, Essex.
Returning to Nigeria, I was confronted with a community in crisis. I established a sports center in Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna, offering youth a safe haven for learning and play. Challenges, including financial constraints and skepticism, surfaced. Loyalty among the youth proved elusive, signaling a need for community-wide mindset change.
What are you building right now? What is your ambition?
Today, we are building a Super Academy powered by the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship, Switzerland. Our goal is to equip professionals with the management skills and knowledge they need to make a lasting impact on the world.
