OUR PURPOSE

OneMillionSparks has been created with the purpose of showcasing sustainable innovation projects, each social entrepreneur’s journey is unique. We want to celebrate all innovators who are leveraging their expertise, deploying innovative solutions for solving challenges faced by communities around the world.

We are entering a new transition in every sector of the economy from retail, and media to energy. There is a shift in our current thinking which is resulting in how each one of us is finding new solutions to existing issues, making human interactions and documenting collective intelligence is important now more than ever.

We are building the next generation of online media publishing platform by leveraging existing digital capability and connecting the connected with the unconnected, the digital infrastructure for the physical world. We want to tap into these positive energies, inspiring stories and create awareness and change by pushing forward some of the latest thinking and upcoming trends in the area of sustainability.

OUR MISSION

By showcasing sustainable innovations from around the world, we embark in advancing our knowledge about empowerment and inspiration from entrepreneurs tackling some of the challenging issues such as the negative impact of climate change, lack of clean water, unequal access to education, deep poverty, destructive agriculture and start sharing positive news about urban farming, renewable energy, education for all, plant-based nutrition, diversity and industries which are being transformed as the result of a new way of thinking.

OUR AIM

At OneMillionSparks, our aim is to scout the world, explore and search some of the amazing entrepreneurs who have decided to follow their passion by focusing on building a better tomorrow, creating an environment of collaboration and fostering an inclusive open environment, encouraging connections and partnerships amongst innovators. Setting-up an innovation sandbox for discussing, researching and testing new ideas in an open environment by bringing all stakeholders in the value chain of sustainable innovation together - from innovators, investors, foundations and associations.

We aim to inspire collaborative change, learn about different cultures, and communities - from local communities and far away countries across continents, discovering new set of technologies at various stage of development which are transforming industries, bringing low-cost innovation at the forefront of some of the challenges the world is facing. We believe in the power of one, each one of us can make change happens. Digital technology is making it possible to create inspirational content and share the story of this new breed of entrepreneurs whose aim is to bring progress, impact local community, make us the impossible make possible.

This is the start of our journey. Discovering and showcasing one million stories is a long-term goal but we will inspire future generations to share what we have learnt, how we can act now and how to build a better tomorrow.
