The Story of Nadine Reichenthal
Nadine Reichenthal is the co-founder of “Graines d'entrepreneurs - Entrepreneuriat et Innovation pour les jeunes générations” in Switzerland. Her mission is to teach, train, and coach entrepreneurship to individuals and organizations around the world, in Europe, and in emerging countries.
Since 2004, I have taught, trained, and coached individuals and organizations in Europe and in emerging countries. Entrepreneurship can be developed everywhere by everyone, from informal business, like selling fish or shea butter, to ethical biometrics, like network authentication for follow-up migration or digital vaccine booklets. I help micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises become more competitive while focusing on women, young people, and refugees to empower themselves through employment and entrepreneurship and foster digital connectivity for a global transition to green, sustainable trade.
I help individuals, small businesses, and support organizations in developing countries with a range of practical trade-related training, coaching, and consulting services in collaboration with international or local organizations.
As the world faces monumental economic challenges, with the most vulnerable being hit by social and economic instability, I want to change this situation through trade for good.
When did you realize you wanted to be a social entrepreneur? How did you define your purpose?
I had been working for the Swiss Innovation Program from Lab to Market, and with the opportunity to work with the International Trade Center, the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations, I discovered "what the planet needs".
What was your first project? What were your lessons learned?
My first mandate was in Bangladesh, Eastern and Western Africa. I discovered how to help and develop countries by achieving sustainable human development through exports and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Describe your journey. Smooth sailing or a roller coaster ride?
Each country has its own momentum. Then, depending on the environment, you will face challenges ranging from electricity to goats.
What are you building right now? What is your ambition?
I am currently building vocational training and entrepreneurship programs for women and children, illiterate or not, in emerging countries.
How can everyone support you?
I need the support of NGOs and civil partnerships such as Local Senior or Junior Business Coaches.
Nadine Reichenthal has led sessions in different editions of the GoodFestival since 2017. She focuses on finding solutions to the biggest challenges facing humanity through innovative thinking and entrepreneurship.
